Blitz training

Storm

Solve as many positions as you can before the clock runs out. Correct moves in a row buy time, mistakes cost it.

Positions

Difficulty

Starts easy and gets harder as you solve, like Lichess Storm.

Quiet positions

When nothing works, answer No tactic (Space). Playing a move there is a mistake.

Time

The clock starts with your first move.

Lives

Fast, but not careless

Blitz rewards recognising a position before you calculate it. Storm takes the positions from the other trainers and puts them on a clock, so you practise deciding quickly — and the mistake penalty keeps you honest.

Tactical vision

Play the whole winning line. With quiet positions mixed in, answering “No tactic” is the right move when there is nothing there.

Critical decisions

Positions from real games where one move mattered. Only engine-verified moves count, so a plausible guess is scored as a miss.

Keep the advantage

You are already winning. Any move that keeps the advantage counts — the skill is not giving it back under time pressure.
